Do you live on Independent Avenue? Not the street, of course, but in life. Independence is a funny topic to me. On the one hand we value it highly, desire it in ourselves and others, and then often shun the opportunity for it. On the other hand we think of independence as hard work that may or may not pay off. It means responsibility, and many of our unconscious behaviors work to avoid responsibility. So, do we really want to be independent? Maybe not completely. I think we find safety and comfort in relying on others because it is a point of connection.
Signs often create an opportunity to look more closely at our beliefs, behaviors, and what we really want in life. Notice the signs around you today and see if any of them strike an inner cord. It may be that the inspiration you've been looking for is on a sign.
