Light is Calling

This magnificent tree, with its huge branches and thick leaves, is older than the town in which it stands. It has weathered terrible storms, extreme heat, and years of drought. Yet it still stands, still provides shade, and still reaches up to the light.

In life we all face dark times and tough challenges. What makes the difference is how we get through them is whether we are focused on the darkness or reaching for the light. There is something wonderful and beautiful in life and in us that calls to us in our toughest moments. It would lead us through any challenge if we would only stand still and listen.
