Puppy Love!

Here he is; the sweetest little boy in the world! Okay, I'm a little biased. This is my son several years ago being totally loved by a foster puppy. It didn't matter that the dog was so excitable that she knocked him down repeatedly. It didn't matter that she tried to steal his food. It didn't matter that she accidentally scratched him. My son loved this puppy no matter what.

That is what's amazing and wonderful about children and dogs ... they love unconditionally. They forgive instantly and focus always on the joy. I sure wish we could keep those qualities intact as we grow up.

The puppy stayed with us for about 3 months until we found a home for her on a ranch. She took to rounding up calves like she had trained all her life for it. We were delighted because this dog loved to run and never ran out of energy. Hmmm, just like kids!
