It's Complicated!

I've been playing with some new fractal generating software and even though the program simplifies the process somewhat it still fries my brain. Fractals are complicated! They are composed of complex mathematical formulas, and they are all around us. Nature is full of fractal patterns.

Life, it seems, is also a series of complex formulas with everything intricately connected. You can make a little change over here and something way over there changes because of it. Make a change in yourself and you'll see the people around you change. What if we're all little aspects of one ginormous fractal system? What if the whole universe is a fractal with infinitely repeating patterns on smaller and smaller scales? It boggles the mind to think of the implications!

I guess that's what I like about fractal art; it challenges my mind and its familiar concepts. It opens me to possibilities without end, and that makes me happy.
