Vision Quest

In keeping with the Native American feel of the last post, this abstract art piece draws on the ancient tradition of a vision quest. It expresses the expansive mystery of non-physical realms that we discover when we go deeply within our own center.

The color hues, lines, and forms are reminiscent of art that was painted on cave walls, adobe structures, pottery, and woven into rugs and blankets by the native people of the desert southwest.

As you gaze at the image see if you can hear faint drumming and chanting. Feel the rhythm of ancient music pulsing through your body. See if you can sense the smell of burning sage. Then enter the Kiva of your heart on a vision quest to the higher wisdom that lives within you.
